It is our prayer that you as a parent would feel equipped and ready to answer questions your kids or students may have about salvation. Our Kids & Student Ministry Teams are always available to meet with you, offer resources to help, and more importantly pray for you as you begin to disciple your children.
Kids New Christian Classes are offered quarterly on Sunday mornings for any children interested in baptism - we also encourage parents to attend these classes! And our Student Ministries staff has regular time slots set aside to meet with students interested in baptism to give them an opportunity to ask questions and understand the “why” of baptism. Attending one of these classes or meetings is the first step toward baptism for kids or students!

The Kids New Christians Class is a class especially for children who have recently accepted Christ as their Savior and would like to be baptized or who have an expressed an interest in taking the next steps toward Jesus. Parents attend with their children.
Middle school brings significantly increased expectations and responsibilities, and this time truly is a transition from being a child to becoming a young adult. We provide a number of events to make this transition as smooth as possible, including rising 6th grade orientation, Passing of the Key, Promotion Sunday, and Middle School Camp, designed to transition students well to middle school
Passing of the Key is an annual event where 5th graders have the opportunity to reflect on their years in Kids Ministry, while anticipating what God wants to do as they enter middle school. Our Kids Ministry Team leads our kids on a hike up a mountain as we think about the many things we have learned together over the years. At the top of the mountain, kids are handed off to our Student Ministry Team as they welcome them officially to Student Ministry at Sugar Hill Church.
Then on Promotion Sunday, they join Middle School Large Group for the first time, completing their transition to Student Ministries.
La escuela secundaria trae expectativas y responsabilidades significativamente mayores, y esta vez realmente es una transición de ser un niño a convertirse en un adulto joven. We make a big deal of High School graduation at Sugar Hill Church. We have a special Graduate Recognition day where students are celebrated and encouraged by their church family. As a part of this special day, graduates invite their families, close friends, and their “5” to a banquet where they are further celebrated by our whole Sugar Hill Students team and the rising Senior class. At this banquet, graduates share The Plan booklets with their “5” and begin the process of receiving encouragement to thrive as they enter the post-high-school world. This event puts the exclamation point on our preparation of students to be Grounded For Life.
Le damos mucha importancia a la graduación de la escuela secundaria en la Iglesia Sugar Hill. Tenemos un día especial de Reconocimiento de Graduados donde la familia de la iglesia celebra y anima a los estudiantes. Como parte de este día especial, los graduados invitan a sus familias, amigos cercanos y a sus “5” a un banquete donde serán celebrados por todo nuestro equipo de estudiantes de Sugar Hill y la clase de último año en ascenso. En este banquete, los graduados comparten folletos de El Plan con sus “5” y comienzan el proceso de recibir estímulo para prosperar al ingresar al mundo posterior a la escuela secundaria. Class of 2024, we can't wait to celebrate you! Graduate Recognition is such a special day where we get to honor and recognize you, both in the morning worship services and with an amazing lunch afterwards.
